My name is Shailvi Tewari.I am a third year student of B.Tech-Biotechnology at SRM Institute of Technology.I attended the 5 day workshop titled 'In silico training in Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering' organised by BDG LifeSciences. It was a good experience overall.I gained a lot of knowledge.The instructor was very thorough with all the topics. Regarding Artificial Intelligence in Biology. I found it will take time to learn it as not having computer background anyhow it was fine to see this what is covered in biology with it.

I am very grateful to the BDG Lifesciences for organizing a workshop on Exome sequencing analysis, and introducing me to Dr. Bharati Mittal who was the resource person for the workshop. I am especially thankful to Dr. Bharati Mittal for sharing her extensive knowledge on such an exclusive and classified topic. It was in every bit a hand-on workshop especially for a biologist like me who wanted to venture into computational bioinformatics to conduct the NGS analysis of patient samples with little knowledge of Linux based operating systems. Dr. Bharati literally filled the gap between the lab to the patient, with her excellent teaching skills whereby she eloquently explained the biology and principle of Exome sequencing and then taught the commands that began with the fastqc file and all the way to the final annotated vcf file generation. I was allowed to use my own data for the entire analysis, which we compared to the final report. She explained the attributes of the ACMG-AMP guidelines with amazing simplicity. Despite a virtual platform, it was an exciting experience to work remotely using a lab-based server during off-hours from home, under her patient guidance. I highly recommend this workshop to all those working in basic science and computational biology backgrounds.

The learning experience was good. I am doing my M. Pharmacy,so,it will be helpful to me in future. Before learning this study I didn't have idea much about molecular modelling and drug designing but now I have a good idea about this technology. Methodology was also good. Thanks to BioDiscovery Group, India research unit.

The training was good.. Thanks to "The CEO - Biodiscovery" and team.

The course can be more informative and the software training can be given in more detail, since the training was given only to complete the present study, and the other modules and the other options in the software was less known. Hence the practical application may become a little difficult if we perform an individual study.

The 1st impression of online training is not good in my mind, But BioDiscovery Solutions for Future prove me wrong and it was so beautiful and awesome experience working with bio discovery and guide. Helps me a lot and i got my publication in ECCB '12, I am so happy for that and i would like to thank my guide and team of BioDiscovery Solutions for Future...THANKS A LOT .... I hadn't studied even a single paper of bioinformatics in our whole curriculum. Though I am naive, I felt very comfortable in learning this 1 month program. It was nice learning many things throughout the duration of the course. The teaching as well as assistance towards queries were attended properly. I have enjoyed learning things with your group. Hope there would be some training program which could deal with the binding site analysis etc to predict the active site of a protein. Thanks.

sincere and grantful thanks to biodiscovery research academy who made us to know some steps about the role of bioinformatics in the field of drug discovery and for guiding us throughout the training. But we are not fully satisfied with the training. Some modules which have been listed in website are not taught to us.peoples had not have an idea where the molecules and minimised pdb files are chosen. If this all been fulfilled for us we would like to gain more training and more knowledge about our bioinformatics in biodiscovery. Please check the feedback as important and try to console our feedback.

It is very helpful to me and it made me learn many things. thank you

I completed a two month training in computational aided drug designing. I got to learn protein optimization and energy minimization which can further aid me in my higher education. The staffs were very helpful and the concept they gave were all straight forward. I just have one request that instead of two months they should also conduct six months training which can be further beneficial. My overall training experience was very pleasant and I'm happy and satisfied with my training.
