My name is Shailvi Tewari.I am a third year student of B.Tech-Biotechnology at SRM Institute of Technology.I attended the 5 day workshop titled 'In silico training in Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering' organised by BDG LifeSciences. It was a good experience overall.I gained a lot of knowledge.The instructor was very thorough with all the topics. Regarding Artificial Intelligence in Biology. I found it will take time to learn it as not having computer background anyhow it was fine to see this what is covered in biology with it.

I am very grateful to the BDG Lifesciences for organizing a workshop on Exome sequencing analysis, and introducing me to Dr. Bharati Mittal who was the resource person for the workshop. I am especially thankful to Dr. Bharati Mittal for sharing her extensive knowledge on such an exclusive and classified topic. It was in every bit a hand-on workshop especially for a biologist like me who wanted to venture into computational bioinformatics to conduct the NGS analysis of patient samples with little knowledge of Linux based operating systems. Dr. Bharati literally filled the gap between the lab to the patient, with her excellent teaching skills whereby she eloquently explained the biology and principle of Exome sequencing and then taught the commands that began with the fastqc file and all the way to the final annotated vcf file generation. I was allowed to use my own data for the entire analysis, which we compared to the final report. She explained the attributes of the ACMG-AMP guidelines with amazing simplicity. Despite a virtual platform, it was an exciting experience to work remotely using a lab-based server during off-hours from home, under her patient guidance. I highly recommend this workshop to all those working in basic science and computational biology backgrounds.

I am happy of completing the research project in biodiscovery entitled Molecular Modeling study of 4-Phenyl-1H-Imidazole and its derivatives as potential inhibitor of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO).Initially,I was hesitated to indulge in this project,but after 2 classes,it became my part of life.Akansha mam and Deva sir supported us all the time.Asif sir do guided us to complete the project.He always reply us with an answer whenever we asked doubts.we have planned to present and publish this work,so kindly guide for that too.And suggest us a place to do this work in a wet lab too.Its really nice working under the guidance of you all sir.

Our research project training program is of novel projects on drug discovery and designing where we students implement latest technology followed by practical application. As I am a research scholar and doing research on Alzheimer's disease using bioinformatics applications and techniques, for this reason I found your project was promising and was of great interest because it is directly associated to my research. Thus learning state-of the art tools and techniques was a boon for enhancing my knowledge and their applications in real world problems and research studies. The techniques that I learnt from this project will definitely improve my potentialities towards my research that I am currently pursuing. Also the software that were used in this project are free software, so that we can use them in our different studies. Therefore this project helped a lot to enhance my knowledge of Computer Aided Drug Designing. The project was nicely planned, all the phases were perfectly executed as per the schedule in time and we were able to meet the deadline of the project. All the task were executed with nice coordination and cooperation of the entire team. The guide supervision was excellent which helped us a lot to meet our goal of the project. I would definitely recommend others for the project of BioDiscovery Group. It is a great learning opportunity.

I'm very happy and glad that I got an opportunity to work with and to be a part of the BioDiscovery Group for a research project. It is great place where one can learn and to get good command in concepts of bioinformatics mainly drug designing and genomics& proteomics. It was nice learning many things throughout the duration of the course. The teaching as well as assistance towards queries were attended properly. I have enjoyed learning things with your group. Hope there would be some training program which could deal with the binding site analysis etc to predict the active site of a protein. Thanks.

sincere and grantful thanks to biodiscovery research academy who made us to know some steps about the role of bioinformatics in the field of drug discovery and for guiding us throughout the training. But we are not fully satisfied with the training. Some modules which have been listed in website are not taught to us.peoples had not have an idea where the molecules and minimised pdb files are chosen. If this all been fulfilled for us we would like to gain more training and more knowledge about our bioinformatics in biodiscovery. Please check the feedback as important and try to console our feedback.

It is very helpful to me and it made me learn many things. thank you

I completed a two month training in computational aided drug designing. I got to learn protein optimization and energy minimization which can further aid me in my higher education. The staffs were very helpful and the concept they gave were all straight forward. I just have one request that instead of two months they should also conduct six months training which can be further beneficial. My overall training experience was very pleasant and I'm happy and satisfied with my training.
