My name is Shailvi Tewari.I am a third year student of B.Tech-Biotechnology at SRM Institute of Technology.I attended the 5 day workshop titled 'In silico training in Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering' organised by BDG LifeSciences. It was a good experience overall.I gained a lot of knowledge.The instructor was very thorough with all the topics. Regarding Artificial Intelligence in Biology. I found it will take time to learn it as not having computer background anyhow it was fine to see this what is covered in biology with it.

I am very grateful to the BDG Lifesciences for organizing a workshop on Exome sequencing analysis, and introducing me to Dr. Bharati Mittal who was the resource person for the workshop. I am especially thankful to Dr. Bharati Mittal for sharing her extensive knowledge on such an exclusive and classified topic. It was in every bit a hand-on workshop especially for a biologist like me who wanted to venture into computational bioinformatics to conduct the NGS analysis of patient samples with little knowledge of Linux based operating systems. Dr. Bharati literally filled the gap between the lab to the patient, with her excellent teaching skills whereby she eloquently explained the biology and principle of Exome sequencing and then taught the commands that began with the fastqc file and all the way to the final annotated vcf file generation. I was allowed to use my own data for the entire analysis, which we compared to the final report. She explained the attributes of the ACMG-AMP guidelines with amazing simplicity. Despite a virtual platform, it was an exciting experience to work remotely using a lab-based server during off-hours from home, under her patient guidance. I highly recommend this workshop to all those working in basic science and computational biology backgrounds.

I am very happy to complete my project entitled Study to test the binding of THC- Delta 9-tetrahydrocannabinol & derivatives on Acetylcholine binding protein (AChBP): A Virtual Screening & Molecular Docking.At start of the project I was puzzled how I will complete,but due to complete guidance from BioDiscovery Group I completed my project. I specially thank the team for their continuous guidance and clarification about my project work. I am excited that, project I worked on has been submitted for publications. BioDiscovery have even given me idea how take my project to the next phase(i.e Wet lab).

My project is regarding the design of new inhibitors for HIV integrase, by blocking its site of action and hence preventing the disease. AIDS is a renowned disease which is still in need of a cure. My project focuses directly on the aspect of finding a drug for the disease. It has many phases and is systematic in its design. I found the project structure highly constructive and easy to learn. The softwares can be easily accessed through the help of a link provided. I have gained presumptuous knowledge regarding the various steps followed in drug designing and molecular modelling. Now, I am confident enough to take up a related project and work on it successfully.

It is very pleasure to work with Biodiscovery. I hope i get another chance to work with. The training team was helpful in the duration of project period. Thank you for the opportunity.

BioDiscovery is my first step in the ladder towards my biotech career.I thank guidance of Deva sir,Akansha mam and Asif sir for their guidance to complete my project and help me to gain depth knowledge in this field. This project has given me ideas to do further more similar projects and to carry my work further in wet lab. Publication guidance was excellent. Thanks a lot for helping me in the first step in the journey of thousand mile.

Hi, This is Jayaram from Bangalore. Recently I have completed a research project in drug discovery under the guidance of BioDiscovery Group. It is a very good opportunity for anyone like me, to work for this project and to be a part of this team. It is great place where one can learn and to get good command in concepts of bioinformatics mainly drug designing. It was great working with the BioDiscovery Group. Asif sir as well as the staff of the organization guided me really well in the project. They were easily accessible, so doubts got cleared instantly. I have worked on Ebola virus program and being in touch with biodiscovery group people since past 8 months. The course work designed is very useful to get hands on drug designing concept. It was a very good experience I had with BioDiscovery group. The work went on smooth and the training was good, supplemented with appropriate materials to be equipped with the subject matter. The trainers were patient and helpful. I got an Experience Letter too from Asif Naqvi (CEO) for having researched in here. By a positive approach, excellence and efficiency of work, towards the projects, I am confident that BioDiscovery Group is on its way to provide me the credentials with the aid of a publication and/or a poster at International conference. Overall it was very interesting and fantastic experience to research at the BioDiscovery Group.

This was a great experience. I learned a lot about the computer aided drug design, bioinformatics and computational biology. I'm so thankful for Prof. Asif for his great efforts during the project and for helping me to complete this work. I recommend to add some extra phases such as virtual screening, protein active site and residues prediction, and homology modeling in case of working with novel protein. Thanks you

It was an informative research project as i learned alot about the computational approaches for drug discoveries and designing. Thanks for giving me this opportunity and for helping me to build my future career. Adding some phases will be interesting and informative such as drug target selection, Homology modeling ( in case of no protein structure available in PDB), virtual screening based on either structural similarity or pharmacophore similarity and protein 3D structure analysis. Special thanks for Prof. Asif for helping me in the research project and for his great efforts too.

I found this project is powerful, benefit and excellent.but it need more concern in theory.

I had worked on a research project under the guidance of Dr. Asif Naqvi. He was really very helpful and kind during the course of the project. I have also done workshops with Biodiscovery Group which has helped me in my career and many different ways. The team was very helpful and very quick whenever I was in need of any help or faced any doubts. The project was explained and demonstrated to me in a well and organised way. Looking forward to work with this firm again in my near future.

It was nice learning many things throughout the duration of the course. The teaching as well as assistance towards queries were attended properly. I have enjoyed learning things with your group. Hope there would be some training program which could deal with the binding site analysis etc to predict the active site of a protein. Thanks.

sincere and grantful thanks to biodiscovery research academy who made us to know some steps about the role of bioinformatics in the field of drug discovery and for guiding us throughout the training. But we are not fully satisfied with the training. Some modules which have been listed in website are not taught to us.peoples had not have an idea where the molecules and minimised pdb files are chosen. If this all been fulfilled for us we would like to gain more training and more knowledge about our bioinformatics in biodiscovery. Please check the feedback as important and try to console our feedback.

It is very helpful to me and it made me learn many things. thank you

I completed a two month training in computational aided drug designing. I got to learn protein optimization and energy minimization which can further aid me in my higher education. The staffs were very helpful and the concept they gave were all straight forward. I just have one request that instead of two months they should also conduct six months training which can be further beneficial. My overall training experience was very pleasant and I'm happy and satisfied with my training.
