My name is Shailvi Tewari.I am a third year student of B.Tech-Biotechnology at SRM Institute of Technology.I attended the 5 day workshop titled 'In silico training in Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering' organised by BDG LifeSciences. It was a good experience overall.I gained a lot of knowledge.The instructor was very thorough with all the topics. I am grateful to BDG group for conducting online workshops and making it possible for students like me to continue learning and making sure we do not miss out on knowledge and skills due to the current pandemic. Regarding Artificial Intelligence in Biology. I found it will take time to learn it as not having computer background anyhow it was fine to see this what is covered in biology with it.

I am very grateful to the BDG Lifesciences for organizing a workshop on Exome sequencing analysis, and introducing me to Dr. Bharati Mittal who was the resource person for the workshop. I am especially thankful to Dr. Bharati Mittal for sharing her extensive knowledge on such an exclusive and classified topic. It was in every bit a hand-on workshop especially for a biologist like me who wanted to venture into computational bioinformatics to conduct the NGS analysis of patient samples with little knowledge of Linux based operating systems. Dr. Bharati literally filled the gap between the lab to the patient, with her excellent teaching skills whereby she eloquently explained the biology and principle of Exome sequencing and then taught the commands that began with the fastqc file and all the way to the final annotated vcf file generation. I was allowed to use my own data for the entire analysis, which we compared to the final report. She explained the attributes of the ACMG-AMP guidelines with amazing simplicity. Despite a virtual platform, it was an exciting experience to work remotely using a lab-based server during off-hours from home, under her patient guidance. I highly recommend this workshop to all those working in basic science and computational biology backgrounds.

Hi,this is Saurav Choudhary from New Delhi.Recently I have completed a research project in structure based drug discovery.It was nice working with BioDiscovery group.I would like to thank Asif sir for giving me this wonderful opportunity.Got to learn many new things and important concepts which will surely help me in building my career. I liked the process of delivering class. Good backup and support. I enjoyed working with biodiscovery group. I would definitely like to work more with biodiscovery.

I had a great experience while working on this project.I get to know about the different software being used in in-silico technology.Now I am aware of this technology, thanks to this project. All the team members are very cooperative and helpful.

The project taught us new skills and gave us the vivid and clear knowledge of virtual screening. It helped me in gaining insight of the topic.

The course was extremely helpful in learning using Autodock 2.0. It helped me a lot in writing my master thesis paper. Well done Biodiscovery team, I am looking forward to publish the paper with you.

I hadn't studied even a single paper of bioinformatics in our whole curriculum. Though I am naive, I felt very comfortable in learning this 1 month program. Tutor's explanation was so clear and simplified this tough topic very well. It's really worthy to join this program. I hope you will continue to conduct these kind of programs, I am sure lots of students will get benefited globally. All the very best to your entire team. a small suggestion from me, though it is not so important, it would be little better if these certificates were hard copies. Thank you very much.

It was nice learning many things throughout the duration of the course. The teaching as well as assistance towards queries were attended properly. I have enjoyed learning things with your group. Hope there would be some training program which could deal with the binding site analysis etc to predict the active site of a protein. Thanks.

sincere and grantful thanks to biodiscovery research academy who made us to know some steps about the role of bioinformatics in the field of drug discovery and for guiding us throughout the training. But we are not fully satisfied with the training. Some modules which have been listed in website are not taught to us.peoples had not have an idea where the molecules and minimised pdb files are chosen. If this all been fulfilled for us we would like to gain more training and more knowledge about our bioinformatics in biodiscovery. Please check the feedback as important and try to console our feedback.

It is very helpful to me and it made me learn many things. thank you

I completed a two month training in computational aided drug designing. I got to learn protein optimization and energy minimization which can further aid me in my higher education. The staffs were very helpful and the concept they gave were all straight forward. I just have one request that instead of two months they should also conduct six months training which can be further beneficial. My overall training experience was very pleasant and I'm happy and satisfied with my training.
