The key to a successful practical workshop is an interactive environment, which is what I found at the 5-day workshop on Drug Discovery, hosted at Bangalore University. Under the guidance of the organizer, Mr. Asif Naqvi, we learnt, not just the basics of drug discovery, but also how to use the different software related to it. This is the first workshop I have attended where practical application is given more emphasis to enable us to learn better. I certainly will use my experience, here, for my future projects and research work. I also look forward to more workshops on different tools conducted by the BioDiscovery Group, and recommend anyone and everyone interested in work related to Biological Sciences, to attend these workshops.

It was a very informative experience attending a 5-day e-workshop on "Drug Discovery and Design". Our Mentor, Sharvari Kulkarni, was more like a friend than a teacher, who guided and improvised our knowledge and gave us the opportunity to try the hands-on training in real-time during the live class, unlike other workshops where you are struggling with it as homework. A confident, patient, and inspiring mentor like her is rare to find. I am very thankful to hardworking mentors and BDG Lifesciences for providing these opportunities in a timely and having such profound mentors. Will again attend future workshops and strongly recommend others. Thank you very much for everything!! Overall a wonderful experience.

I am very grateful to the BDG Lifesciences for organizing a workshop on Exome sequencing analysis, and introducing me to Dr. Bharati Mittal who was the resource person for the workshop. I am especially thankful to Dr. Bharati Mittal for sharing her extensive knowledge on such an exclusive and classified topic. It was in every bit a hand-on workshop especially for a biologist like me who wanted to venture into computational bioinformatics to conduct the NGS analysis of patient samples with little knowledge of Linux based operating systems. Dr. Bharati literally filled the gap between the lab to the patient, with her excellent teaching skills whereby she eloquently explained the biology and principle of Exome sequencing and then taught the commands that began with the fastqc file and all the way to the final annotated vcf file generation. I was allowed to use my own data for the entire analysis, which we compared to the final report. She explained the attributes of the ACMG-AMP guidelines with amazing simplicity. Despite a virtual platform, it was an exciting experience to work remotely using a lab-based server during off-hours from home, under her patient guidance. I highly recommend this workshop to all those working in basic science and computational biology backgrounds.

As I am a research scholar and doing research on Alzheimer's disease using bioinformatics applications and techniques, for this reason I found your project was promising and was of great interest because it is directly associated to my research. Thus learning state-of the art tools and techniques was a boon for enhancing my knowledge and their applications in real world problems and research studies. The techniques that I learnt from this project will definitely improve my potentialities towards my research that I am currently pursuing. Also the software that were used in this project are free software, so that we can use them in our different studies. Therefore this project helped a lot to enhance my knowledge of Computer Aided Drug Designing. The project was nicely planned, all the phases were perfectly executed as per the schedule in time and we were able to meet the deadline of the project. All the task were executed with nice coordination and cooperation of the entire team. The guide supervision was excellent which helped us a lot to meet our goal of the project. What 2 say about BioDiscovery Solutions for Future?? It is just an awesome experience for me for being a part of India???s best hardcore research organisation. This is the only company in India who works 4 strengthening the profile of candidates by giving them a chance to explore their potential in various projects, training, career guidance & many more. The company offers various research projects of International acceptance & value to the students and working professionals who are pursuing their career in Biotechnology or Bioinformatics and who have a desire to work in R & D company or organisation. Besides this, company also outsource various International projects in Biotechnology & Bioinformatics which is the primary work of it. I had a great opportunity to work with some great minds as I got selected there to work on research projects & it is accepted at International Level and now in upcoming months I am going abroad to present my work as I already got a grant both 4m abroad as well as from Department of Biotechnology, India as I have to represent my country there. So it???s a feeling of pride for me. And at the last ???. This is the only company in India who works 4 strengthening the profile of candidates by giving them a chance ...2 explore their potential in various projects, training, career guidance & many more. The company gives you novel research projects, Training and International Publication.

The Molecular Dynamic Simulation (MDS) training session was clear, well organized. Advantages: --The trainer was accurate in time. --Most of my questions and queries were clearly answered. Disadvantages: --The MDS outcome interpretation has not been explained clearly. --Also, the fee of the workshop is very expensive from my view. Comment: In overall, I am pleased with the workshop and I highly recommend this workshop to other colleague.

Amina Ibrahim

I decided to join this workshop in order to get hands on experience in molecular docking. We are using network pharmacology based approaches to scientifically validate the Ayurvedic medicinal plants and formulations. In that we use docking as a validation tool for the data generated. This workshop was helpful in that aspect to get the hands on exposure. The positive things about the workshop were (1) one on one training that gave opportunity to understand the lessons well and clear the doubts, (2) introduced different tools/software that gave an idea how to select them based on the application and (3) the trainers showed the patience to clear the doubts. I felt it would have been excellent if the theory part was explained in a proper and organised way which was weak at many places. Also felt that it would have been useful if you had provided some video links to refer after the course hours. Also have the opinion that the fee of INR. 17000 only for modelling and docking was higher. Altogether it was a nice experience for the last 20 days and I thank all the trainers and the BD team! Wish the BD team all the best in your future endeavours!!!

The course contents and the tutor who taught are really good. I would like to mention that a video tutorial would have been lot better along with chat on Skype(to clear doubts), like the coursera workshops. It s really good to know that the tutors are extending their support to clear doubts if any, even after the workshop. Thank you for all the support.

Name of the program: 7-day NGS workshop: 1- The trainer is very knowledgeable and can answer any question related to the topic. 2- I suggest that the next NGS training to be as a project-based learning workshop instead of sending theoretical information and YouTube videos via Skype. In other words, the training is better to be on a project related to the topic, and the trainer sends tasks gradually to the participants to be performed daily, then Q&A session for every task to answer all doubts. Briefly, like last year Drug discovery technology workshop which was very interesting and amazing.

sincere and grantful thanks to biodiscovery research academy who made us to know some steps about the role of bioinformatics in the field of drug discovery and for guiding us throughout the training. But we are not fully satisfied with the training. Some modules which have been listed in website are not taught to us.peoples had not have an idea where the molecules and minimised pdb files are chosen. If this all been fulfilled for us we would like to gain more training and more knowledge about our bioinformatics in biodiscovery. Please check the feedback as important and try to console our feedback.
